The New England section of the ACD would like to once again send our congratulations to the recipients of the 2023 Student Leadership awards which were presented to the senior dental students at the annual ACD luncheon in January 2023, which was held in conjunction with the Yankee Dental Congress.
Your New England ACD Board encourages each ACD Fellow to consider submitting at least one nomination for Fellowship consideration in the ACD.
The common characteristic shared by successful candidates for Fellowship is demonstrated leadership in some aspect of dentistry or public service. The selection process for Fellowship utilizes a well-established, confidential peer review system evaluating professional and community leadership positions, contributions, and credentials. Each fall new Fellows are inducted at a Convocation ceremony held during the Annual Meeting of the College.
The highlights of the luncheon included the presentation of the Thomas Winkler Leadership Award as well as the ACD-New England Section outstanding fourth-year student awards by the respective Deans of the five New England dental schools.
