Dr. Janice Conrad, the 2017 recipient of the Thomas Winkler Leadership Award graciously donated the $1,000 honorium she received as the award winner to the SPEA Chapter at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. The photograph was taken at a ceremony at Tufts with the presentation to Dean Huw Thomas of the check by Dr. Steven Rubin representing the New England Section. The Executive Board members of the chapter were present, along with Dr. Kathryn Regalis, Associate Professor and Director of Ethics and Professional Development and the faculty advisor for SPEA at Tufts.
At the Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon on January 27, 2018, the Deans of the New England dental schools will again present awards supported by the ACD New England Section to outstanding seniors from their respective schools. Students from Boston University, the University of Connecticut, Harvard, the New England College of Dental Medicine, and Tufts will be recognized for their excellence and achievements as pre-doctoral students.
Congratulation to our New England Section inductees at the Annual ACD Meeting in Denver and to those Fellows being acknowledged for 50, 25, and 15 membership in the ACD.
Contributions to the Gies Fellow Program are encouraged to support the the endowment of the ACD Foundation and its commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards for the profession. Contributions to either the Gies Fellow or Gies Benefactor Level by New England Fellows qualify as well towards the Model Section criteria. The ACD website is a resource for information on the program as well as providing resources for educational materials on issues of ethics.
